Instant Access Systems Pte Ltd (formerly known as Instant Scaffolds (SEA) Pte Ltd) was incorporated in Singapore on 8 September 1989, taking over the business of Instant Scaffolds Far East Ltd, a branch of the U.S. company UpRight Inc. UpRight Inc. was established in 1983 to market a complete range of aluminum scaffoldings and mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs).

At Instant Access Systems, we are passionate about delivering the best height access solutions to meet our customers’ needs. Guided by our motto, “Lifting you to higher heights,” we focus on what we do best so our customers can focus on theirs. Over the years, we have designed and proposed various innovative access solutions that enable our clients to safely and cost-effectively reach even the most difficult-to-access areas. Our dedicated and highly trained technicians also ensure that our MEWPs remain in prime condition to meet the high standards of our customers.

Since 1992, we have been registered as a BCA contractor under Head Ref SY10 Metal & Timber Structure Grade L2, allowing us to serve industries where precision and safety are paramount. We are proud to have completed numerous scaffolding and aircraft docking systems for major airlines in the region, including Singapore Airlines, Singapore Aerospace, Malaysia Airlines, and Philippines Airlines, as well as significant projects within the construction and petrochemical sectors. Meeting the stringent requirements of these industries has been a hallmark of our commitment to quality and safety.

In 2002, we implemented the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System to ensure that we continuously provide top-tier products and services. Three years later, in 2005, we co-founded the Access Solution Industry Association (ASIA) along with five other scaffolding companies. ASIA’s mission is to promote the safe use of scaffolding and access technologies while setting industry standards for quality and competency.

Our dedication to safety led us to achieve OSHAS 18001:2007 certification in 2008, a milestone that demonstrates our ongoing commitment to safe work practices. We also contributed to the development of key industry standards, including the Singapore Standard Code of Practice for safe use of mobile elevating work platforms (SS 616:2016) and Approved CP14: Code of Practice for Scaffolds, which was later revised as SS659:2020.

In 2019, we further enhanced our safety systems by migrating to ISO 45001:2018.
In line with Singapore’s national safety and security initiatives, we actively support the SGSecure movement, working closely with our staff, customers, contractors, and suppliers to promote safety and resilience across the industry.

As we move forward in 2024, we are embracing digital transformation by transitioning to paperless documentation processes. This shift to digital formats will streamline data retrieval and analysis, enhance operational efficiency, and support our commitment to environmental sustainability by reducing our paper consumption. By adopting these advanced technologies, we continue to innovate and lead the industry in both safety and sustainability.
